We followed the planned route for Day 1, apart from a minor diversion with a wrong turning to visit Scrabster. We passed our planned destination of Dalchork, and had a meal in the Crofters restaurant in Lairg. After refreshment we decided to attack Day 2’s route as far as Martins house in Conon Bridge, which was en route anyway, avoiding the need for a campsite
