Day 5 Troon to Gretna Green
A relatively straightforward 91 mile trip this section. Short journey south along the coast through Prestwick & Ayr (10 miles) before turning inland and heading SE to Dumfries. Hopefully see some salmon leaping up river in Dumfries, though I expect its the wrong time of year. 25 mile main road trek (A76) from Dumfries to Gretna.
