Day 7 Garstang to Wem
Manage to head virtually due south majority of route. First 15 miles on the A6, then nearly all the rest on the A49. Save distance by going through the middle of towns and cities, so we have the delights of Preston, Wigan & Warrington to look forward too. Hopefully it becomes a bit more rural south of Warrington. Might cut through Whitchurch to save some yards, so long as we don’t get lost… before arriving at Wem – Home of the sweet pea!!!!
Town Centre doesn’t look too promising to stay, need a country pub on the outskirts. Link to Wem pubs below.
