Day 11 Padstow to Lands End via Lizard Point

Final day and 89 miles to finish off with. A slightly tortuous route as we try to avoid the A30 at all costs. A couple of short sections, just over a mile each, were unavoidable. We could save a couple of miles by following it from Penzance, depends what the traffic is like.

Something strange has happened to my maps, but if you use the arrows on this one, you can follow the route. As you can see, diverting down to the Lizard adds a fair bit to the journey, but it’s what we want to do!

Looking forward to meeting some people down there, with cars and bike racks hopefully. Otherwise it’s another long cycle ride to a railway station!
